Soco de Piri-Piri

Authentic, traditional hot sauce with a characteristic punch from the heart of Portugal.

An elegant food-safety top design was applied to the upper neck of the bottle, reflecting the Portuguese "azulejos" heritage.

Combining simple geometric shapes and a healthy dose of boolean operations created this fresh new take on the traditional Pourtuguese cockerel.

Although the main product "Soco de Piri-Piri" is a bright red colour, the final palettes combined bright and traditional colours with a subdued background that would work well for green-chilli and mango infused variants launching in Q4 2022.

Traditional Portuguese artwork laid the foundation for creating a modern label design, using the iconic cockerel made out of simple, geometric shapes.

The traditional blue and white tiles (azulejos) were another source of inspiration for the initial colour palettes, which were given a makeover for the final Point of Sale design.
